Taiwan Wise Project

Islands with many stories.

The Taiwan Wise Project is a Taiwan trivia game co-founded with Christine Lin. The questions are written in English and move from history and geography to culture, politics and economy, democracy and society, and international relations, one question at a time.

Behind every question is a piece of Taiwan’s story. A question about Dadaocheng opens the story of how a river port grew into a city. A question about the first directly elected president traces how Taiwan became a democracy. Players compete in teams, and between the buzzer and the explanations they get to know Taiwan, and each other.

Events welcome international students, foreign residents, overseas Taiwanese students, and young people in Taiwan. The first was held in Taipei in August 2026. Plans include a larger question bank, a bilingual edition, and partnerships with youth and international exchange groups, extending the connection with Taiwan beyond its borders.
